He Jia Yi

Mr. He Jia Yi's Biodata

He Jia-Yi started playing harmonica in 1964 and attended harmonica virtuoso Cham-Ber Huang抯 master class in Beijing in 1981. He Jia-Yi has received many prizes in the International Harmonica Competition and Festivals in Great Britain, Germany, Israel, Japan and United States.

Jia-Yi He has served as a member of the judging coomittees in the Asia-Pacific Harmonica Festival and Competition in Taiwan in 1996, and in Malaysia in 1998 and Hong Kong 2004.

Jia-Yi Hehas appeared as a soloist with the China Central Philharmonic Society, China Central Ballet Symphony Orchestra, and other major orchestras, and has recorded harmonica music for a number of movies, CDs, and other recording.

He Jia-Yi was a featured soloist in The Nassau Pops Symphony Orchestra抯 Summer Series 2002, and appeared on Long Island抯 cablevision channel News 12 揗orning Show" in 2003 and appeared in Queens Public Television program in 2004. 

He Jia-Yi became a faculty member of the Turtle Bay music School since 2002.

Seminar's Contents:

1. Play "Rhapsody In Blue", the seminar's
    participants learn and master chromatic
    harmonica playing techniques.

2. Provide the music notes rearranged by
    He Jia Yi which is similar to his CD's 
    (Rhapsody In Blue)

3. Session for the participants to play and Q 
    & A session.
